Got probably close to 400 hrs on the 200 EFI, had it repaired under warranty at the 2.5 year mark for a leak. Break them in as specified and take your chances, I figured I could buy three of them before I'd spent as much as a Mercury lower.

The gears and such are made in Asia and the units are assembled in Oldsmar Florida.

I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything!

I had braided line get wrapped around the prop shaft of my 87 V175 Mercury. It  ruined the seal and filled it with water, they don't run for very long that way. I priced parts to repair, almost $900.00. I bought an SEI Lower Unit for my Mercury and have had no trouble at all. I figure like dblades I could by parts and still have a used up housing with a broken skeg or get a new unit with a warranty and If I have to by another I am still cheaper in the long run.  I found good reviews  online and have not had a bit of trouble. The people I dealt with were helpful and friendly and mine came powder coated black and fit like a glove with no issues. I am usually a buy OE guy on most things and for my 87 Ranger 360V I still buy a lot of my parts direct from Ranger and have them shipped from the factory to me.  For what it is worth I am very happy with mine. I fish a lot and fish all winter so it is not a garage queen either.

I appreciate your replies, but just can't make myself buy one.
