rps Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 By 9:00 AM the temperature was over 50, so I went out and fished four hours before the wind and threatening clouds ran me off the lake. I pulled two rods from the box, my crank rod and my Ned rod. On the crank rod I fished a pbj wart. On the Ned rod I fished a pbj as well. I caught 8 fish of which 4 would have been keepers. 5 came on the crank and the Ned accounted for the rest, including the largest fish - near 3 pounds. The 5th fish picture was short, but it had such beautiful markings I took the picture anyway, In the cove just down stream from Fletcher's I saw two odd things. First I watched two red squirrels play tag on the bank. Second I came across a bass of about 4 pounds suspended about a foot below the surface. It was acting odd so I approached it. The fish eyes and places on the back appeared to be covered with brown fungus. Hunter91, big c, Royal Blue and 4 others 7
Macsimus Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 What sort of water clarity were you seeing up there? Seems like the clearer the water, the better the Ned works? Nice catch by the way! "There was a time that I didn't fish, but I cannot remember it."
