Dkman Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 I have been waiting for the crowds to subside before I head back up for a few days of crappie fishing ( or anything else that bites ). I know by waiting they will be off the banks but I hate fighting all the boats. Curious from you all if you are still seeing the parking lots still full at CC & Ruark? Thanks in advance
liphunter Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 I went to Cedar Ridge last Tuesday and again today. Taking a sanity day here and there. I was gratefully surprised of how few boats had launched there. I know it's a week day, but lately even the weekdays have been crowded. Anyway. Had a good, not fantastic, but a good crappie day crappie day with a couple of keeper LM thrown in for fun. Water is so clear right now. Kind of surprised by that. Caught almost all the crappie in 8 to 12 fow. Just working various colors of jigs. Luck is where preparation meets opportunity...... Or you could just flip a coin???

Members TTJJ Posted May 15, 2018 Members Posted May 15, 2018 Last Thursday (May 10) at 1:30PM Ruark Bluff main parking lot was mostly filled, with a few empty spots. Couple trucks in over flow lot.
