Jacob McIntosh Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 Anyone had much luck above bridge port was doing pretty good until about two weeks ago now I can't seem to find them
Royal Blue Posted July 2, 2018 Posted July 2, 2018 Last Tuesday I found a bunch piled up in the mouth of a little cut by a channel swing, but the wind was just brutal and we had storms bearing down on us. I'd think that any spots like that would be good. Especially if it's close to deep water.
Jacob McIntosh Posted July 2, 2018 Author Posted July 2, 2018 Thanks it's been hit or miss mostly miss but if we could find shad we found fish sometimes
Jacob McIntosh Posted July 5, 2018 Author Posted July 5, 2018 We did a little better today 3 keepers and several small one found them on bluffs tryed some drop shot but I'm not much of a drop shot fishermen
Jacob McIntosh Posted July 8, 2018 Author Posted July 8, 2018 Any new reports for the area how's the drop shot doing up there?
Guest Posted July 9, 2018 Posted July 9, 2018 there will be some bass that will stay put in the upper reaches of an arm, but bass in a river arm tend to move up and down the arm depending on the time of the year and on available food source. just think of bass that move into the coves during spawn and then work their way out to the main lake as water warms. way back when we had more water coming down certain creek and river arms, and many springs that also fed into the water system, the upper end of certain creek and river arms would hold bass even in the hottest part of the summer, but the water temps in those area was around 72 and full of O2 and bait. that does not seem to be the case anymore because of lack of water flow. they become like bath water and both bait and bass head down stream to find a more suitable living situation. the upper reaches of the flat creek arm, way up the james, upper reaches of kings river, and upper reaches of roaring river were always full of big bass during the hottest part of the summer because of cool water and bait. that just not seem to be the case now. the nearby bridgeport area should still be deep enough that there could be some bass in the area. these bass will tend to hang out in the channel and relate more to the river roll offs. bo InPiney, magicwormman, Johnsfolly and 4 others 7
Jacob McIntosh Posted July 10, 2018 Author Posted July 10, 2018 Thanks the last good bunch we got in to was above Ashers on the forth no monsters but some fish the where on roll offs hopefully I can figure them out again thanks

You said a mouthful there, bo. Good stuff. kdc and big c 2
176champion Posted July 10, 2018 Posted July 10, 2018 Also remember that area is not real deep either and the fish will lay on the bottom and you won't see them on sonar. Champ188 and Jacob McIntosh 2 I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! Bruce Philips
