Rootman Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 I am looking to see if anyone has ever had any luck using artificial leeches for bottom bouncer rigs for walleye. I know they use them up north, and a walleye is a walleye no matter where they are, but never seen any posts about Stockton and using them. Thanks in advance for any information. I know worms work, but don’t hold up well.
rps Posted July 15, 2018 Posted July 15, 2018 I have caught 2 or 3 on artificial leeches. Nothing to rave about.
Rootman Posted July 15, 2018 Author Posted July 15, 2018 Thanks for the information, saved me some money. Much appreciated.
Hunter75 Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 I tried the gulp leeches several times and have never had a bite. I stick with night crawlers or real leeches if i can find them

Rootman Posted July 19, 2018 Author Posted July 19, 2018 I think that buds bait in Carthage has them to
Harps Posted July 19, 2018 Posted July 19, 2018 Thanks for the replys guys! I'll have to alert some buds about Bud's in Carthage, but that's way out of my way. Fair Play and Aldrich are on the opposite side of the lake from us but might be worth the trip, so we'll call and check on them. Anybody know of a source in the Springfield area? That would be most handy for me. We've used them in Canada with very good success, typically catching several fish on one leech before needing to re-bait.
