CoolHandFluke Posted February 21, 2019 Posted February 21, 2019 Anyone been finding any Crappie or walleye lately? if so what depths? I am headed up tomorrow.
oghfm Posted February 21, 2019 Posted February 21, 2019 Good luck pard, went today, on the water about10, fished CC, pretty much nil on shad, water temp 39, worked the breaks and the flats and was skunked, nothing, zero, zilch. Hind sight tells me I shouda went to the brush piles near the main lake. It was really clear at the bridge. I believe a little stain would of helped. Wish I had something more promising to tell you, but it's been terribly quiet on here. The empty parking lot at CC was my first clue.
Members tracman86 Posted February 22, 2019 Members Posted February 22, 2019 Fished Stockton (darn area) on Sunday. Was going after walleye. Started off fishing for crappie till it got closer to dark. Zero fish of either species. Went to Aldridge area Monday looking for crappie in brush piles jumped from pile to pile from high point to the 215 bridge. Did not catch a fish one. I blame the water temp.
liphunter Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 Kind of a rainy morning. Cool hand did you get to go out. If so how did you do? I’m looking at Tuesday. Luck is where preparation meets opportunity...... Or you could just flip a coin???
CoolHandFluke Posted February 25, 2019 Author Posted February 25, 2019 Well, made a poor choice. Put in at Roark at about 8:30am tried some crappie fishing. Caught a few shorts right off the bat. 30ft deep on brush. Then I thought I would really like to try for some Walleye. So I ran all the way up to the darn and started throwing jerk baits. About 10 min into it I look to the south and see what I though was fog. It wasn't fog. It was fairly heavy rain. I thought no big deal I have my rain gear in the boat. Went to get the rain gear out and, I had no rain pants! Fished for a long time in the rain until I couldn't take it any more. That was one miserable cold run back to Roark! Water temp was 37.8 - 38 liphunter and tho1mas 2

Petty much the same story for the two guys I talked to that were Crappie fishing. Never did see any bait fish. But I absolutely enjoyed the day!!! snagged in outlet 3 1 Luck is where preparation meets opportunity...... Or you could just flip a coin???
