Greenfield CC Bridge Question

Last April (2018), I kept hearing that a lot of crappie and walleye were being caught in the CC area.  Realize water temp has a great deal to do with it but GENERALLY is the first of April a good time to start targeting the area for crappie and walleye?   I was catching a few large walleye (26" eye, pic below,  plus several others over 20") on the north end  of the lake but no crappie.

April is the hot time in that area. Plenty of walleye and crappie (usually).
