Ran the boat down to Roundhouse this morning and then got out and waded the west side of the shoals. Hooked a good brown that had me chasing him down the shoreline for about 100 yards. He jumped 4 or 5 times and looked to be in the 25/26" range. He almost spooled me twice and just when I thought I had him under control he ran under a limb and broke the 6x tippet. Oh well, that's why they call it fishing and not catching.

Walked back up to the chute where I hooked him and had a good morning with lots of rainbows and a couple cuts. Caught a few on small dry flies early and then switched to the Y2K/midge combo. Here's a couple of the better rainbows...
