Members VJMAC Posted June 21, 2019 Members Posted June 21, 2019 Put the tritoon in at state park. Wife and 8 girl friends spent the afternoon and evening on the lake. Did NOT want to be captain of that voyage ! Case of summer shandy and 4 bottles of wine !! So decided to try some jig fishing in the outlet. Pleasantly surprised to see all the water being released. Fished the slackwater area on the park side. Few dink crappie, drum and bluegills. Nothing worthy of a pic. Felt good to just cast a lure. Felt like i was at a trout park with all the cold water and air flowing outa there. Hope they dont turn it off for awhile.
MOPanfisher Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Plan is to continue releasin current amount of 3000 cfs for quite a while. Should begin to drop close to 6 inches a day. Long term forecast with NO rain is first week of August to return to normal.

Heretolearn Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 Water was definitely starting to drop and I couldn't believe the amount of boats and people on the lake this evening. I had gotten used to having it to myself, but everybody is finely getting out and starting to have fun. I will need to adjust my fishing schedule accordingly. Crappie fishing was a little slower this evening, but it was a beautiful evening on the lake.
Heretolearn Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 If the fishing is going to be like today, I would rather have the water up. My dad caught 2 drum and that is all we caught this evening.

Saw the change in forecast yesterday, guess there's a slug of water going down the MO, and Truman catching a bunch too. Hopefully y'all can open er up again next week.
MOPanfisher Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 Yes, Truman wasn't dropping as fast with the extra water from recent storms, which put Truman and Pomme out of balance. As soon as Truman gets caught back up releases from Pomme will go up as well. Hopefully we can avoid storms like the one that hit Cassville and deluged them with 8 inches of rain. Summer pattern storms with localized pop up showers are not a big issue, but one like that would not be good.
Heretolearn Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 Any updates on Pomme? I haven't been there since before the 4th of July.
