lmt out Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 Went out today got on the water around 8:30 fished till 2. Had one keeper walleye and at that his tail barely hit the 15 inch mark. Bottom bounced in 15 to 35 ft of water. Caught 1 walleye. Jig and crawler and jigging rap for the second half of the day nothing but a bunch of drum. At this rate in 2 more trips I will have caught a limit. Lol. wtr dogs, Rootman, mikeak and 4 others 7
Rootman Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 Sounds like things are very tough bite wise on the lake. How was the water clarity on the lake with all the rain? Was hoping to try to go up this weekend, but reading as to where you are having a hard time finding them makes me wonder if it is worth the trip! Still a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work!
Lifes2Short Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 I was also up yesterday and after only catching one small bass and a bluegill after four hours I hung it up. I tried in the brush, in the very back of the brush, on points, flats and around bridge pilings. The water clarity is good around the Masters area but I’m afraid we are in the dog days of summer when it comes to fishing. Tight Lines....NOT! 😢 Rootman 1
lmt out Posted June 25, 2019 Author Posted June 25, 2019 Water clarity was good about like it is normally. 3 ft At least. Probably more.
Members BCarroll Posted June 26, 2019 Members Posted June 26, 2019 It’s sad to say but I finally made it down this weekend for my first trip of the year. The sad thing is after 6 hours of fishing not a thing to show for it. I should’ve stayed home and worked like I have every weekend. I couldn’t because of the weather we had. First trip in along time where I didn’t even pick up a short fish. Hope it gets better because I’m finally getting caught up with work and would like to enjoy the lake,
slothman Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 You guys aren’t giving me much hope. I’ve really been hoping to get to Stockton to do a little trolling for some walleyes soon. These reports don’t give me a bunch of warm fuzzy feelings (especially considering I have no idea what I’m doing when trying to target walleyes). I usually troll flicker shads over point or flats and hope to get lucky. Sometimes (rarely) I do. WhateversBitin 1
Heretolearn Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 Worse fishing day yet this year for me was today. I haven't caught a walleye in almost 3 weeks. I guess I should have fished more then, it was a pretty good bite for about a week. I thought it was going to be a summer pattern, but I guess not. I have tried multiple trips with no luck. I can report that the drum are still spawning though. I caught 3 today with the largest around 3 lbs and one of the males with "milk" everywhere.
