Are there any public access ramps up the James halfway between Aunts and Cape Fair.

Sad to say I never really put in anywhere up there and usually always run up or down.  Taking some your kids early this week and need a closer put in.

I've been using hideaway marina ramp lately and really like it. I've got a season pass, but I think they charge $5.00 per day. You may want to call if you are wanting to launch early before they open. Y HWY is pretty curvy, but I think it's worth the drive.  Pretty quiet during the week.

Exactly 4 minutes by water from Aunts Creek to Hideaway, so if your staying in Kimberling that Y HWY, as Jade said is way to long a curvy to save 4 minutes of boat time.

You can access anything in the James from Aunts Creek to Cape Fair  in minutes.  The back ramp is perfect right now and really is not being used much early.

I'm assuming bass boat.  In a smaller boat it will take longer. I used 40 MPH as a reference.

Ya, over thinking it.  I live close and run down there a lot.  My wife just hates riding in boat at daylight 😂😆.   She thinks on plane is scary fast.

She lets me have a 250 and a 21 footer and fish when I want, so when she wants to go, I take it easy.

20 years ago I took her on our first "date" on a bass boat ride.  I had a 190 zx skeeter that I hung a 200 on when rated for a 150. She later told me I scared her to death😀.  The little boat was fast and rode pretty wild and of course I showed her what it would do.

Was wanting to fish campers point area first but will just run up there.

Bill is right-on as usual. I live down Y and know that by car I'm 25 mins to Aunts Creek down a very crooked road. You could idle to campers pt. quicker. Oh by the way, no fish there!

Yeah.  I'm ok with everyone using that front ramp and staying away from the back one.
