Devan S. Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 I'm use to launching at ramps(Kings River) where there was enough erosion that if you got off the ramps without the boulders you would really be in a pickle.....I guess based on that it doesn't really bother me that much.
Quillback Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 I fish Beaver and Table Rock, and what has me scratching my head is that as far as I know they aren't closing down any of the Beaver parks, and down by the dam at Beaver there are 4 parks almost within sight of each other. It's a nice area to camp and very popular so I'm not complaining, but I see Table Rock as being much busier and from a business perspective Table Rock has way more resorts, etc., than Beaver. The COE folks at Beaver also seem to me to be faster at jumping on maintenance issues at the ramps too. One of the darn dock cables on the Big M courtesy dock has been broken for over a year and last time I was there it still wasn't fixed. I was trying to stay out of this thread because I know it does no good, kind of like yelling at the TV when you don't like what some politician has to say.

If we want the Corps of Engineers to consider fishermen and outdoor recreation, we *might* have to look at a wider scope of candidates when it comes to voting, on both the local and national levels, because in theory, the COE works for us, but in reality, they only take orders from those we put into office with our votes.
Members DeadCalm Posted September 15, 2019 Members Posted September 15, 2019 All of us here understand how the world works....$=votes. So why not solicit the aid of someone with a lot of money and connections with powerful people, AND is a native of the area AND promotes himself to be THE conservationist of our time on the same order as Teddy Roosevelt. Or is his corporation part of the problem. Your not going to stop progress, i.e. growth but it has to be growth that benefits all stakeholders, or at least as many as possible.
