Trouble with image quality with Garmin 73SV

Having trouble getting good images on side view with my 73sv unit. Wondering if there are some tweeking on settings and transducer positioning that would help. Thanks for the help.

Get some pics of the transducer mounted on the back of the boat and get some good screen shots of structure.   The Garmin Technical support is really good. They will probably have you start by updating to the newest software and reset to default setting.

I have never gotten the side imaging to work that well on my Striker 7. 

For me, 455khz is a lot better than 800, but either way it has never been that useful. I think you really need a 9"+ screen to make use of it.
