oneshot Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 I have a.45Cal. Inline Muzzleloader 1:28 Twist, shooting Maxi Balls. Does just fine 80Gr. Powder thinking of dropping down to 60Gr. of Powder. Will this be enough for Deer 100 yards +. oneshot
nomolites Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 I think if you can hit them it will do fine; only way to know if you can hit them is to load up and try it out. I’d get a big piece of cardboard and aim dead on for the bull placed In the top third to get an idea of drop and go from there. I think 70 gr is a pretty common charge for a 245 maxi. Mike
oneshot Posted December 19, 2019 Author Posted December 19, 2019 Ah I was going to the Range with it. I think it is a good rifle. The guy before me was shooting Power Belts with 150Gr. Pellets. I was like Ok! oneshot
jdmidwest Posted December 20, 2019 Posted December 20, 2019 Which powder are you using? Black Powder 3f or 2f, Pyrodex, Triple 7. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
