MDC Fishing APP?

I downloaded the MDC Fishing APP today.

It is ok on lakes but go to rivers takes a bit to figure out where you are and this is knowing the river.

Anyone else have the same problem or am I not doing something right?

I had it on my old phone so I could know which areas to avoid on the Niangua arm of the lake.   I never thought to scan the rivers with it.  I just use Google Maps satellite layer.

My main thing is finding them submerged trees knowing where to not fish the bottom.

I use another App they have finding Access. Plus I have onX.

But like anything else it is a matter of looking at several Maps then actually going and checking it out.
