I got a place down at Pomme and was headed down this week to try some crappie fishing. But i'm hearing that Truman is the place to be right now. I can go thru Wheatland take B to K and be at  Fairfield ramp in 30 minutes. Any of you fine boys willing to give a guy any advice as to where to go from there? I'm hearing up the creeks. 20 fow. in middle of creek. Much appreciated.

I'm sorry I hope you did well. Most I know go by the Bridge. Fishing from the bank I have done well in that Cove West of Fairfield Ramp.

Pomme de Terre Crappie are biting now. i would put in Lindley Arm and fish it.

Well, last night probably knocked things back a little.  From Fairfield area the options for crappie fishing are tremendous.  Up stream, past bridge, bear left into coves and work them over, if no good, move on up and work the main creek channel bluffs near the power lines.

Pomme is good, or at least it was until rain last night.  Shoot me a message when you are ready to go to Truman and I will mark a few spots on a map for ya.

Best place I had for Crappie on Truman put in a Sapps went down stream in that brush at the turn. Have put in at Avery and did good on Crappie. Just don't do like I did get the Boat on its side scaring the something out of the wife.

Interesting Pomme has come up with all the rain and they are running water again.

Unless it has been reopened in the last few hours, Pomme was shut down this morning due to downstream conditions.  Have caught tons of crappie in 5he Sapp Landing area, Frisco access area, Avery, and from Fairfield. I will tell you if you launch at Fairfield and stay too late it gets really dark up stream, but it also does if you launch at Fristoe, Avery or Sapps, no lights.  The benefit around Fairfield is there are a few spots that routinely give up some of the delicious golden toothy ones.
