I have a guide on one of my baitcasters that has a crack or something in it. The abrasion is not good. I don't want to replace the whole guide. I was wondering if anybody had any tips on how to repair it? It's just one spot, and I've identified where with a Q-tip. Would a file work? Or electrical tape? Thanks in advance.

You can replace just the ceramic ring if you're good at doing fiddly things like that.   I've done it many times.

Since I'm quarantined by our amazing government I may just go out to spite them and get the replacement ring. I was hoping to just do it here. Wonder if super glue would work temporarily?

No, use Devcon 2 ton epoxy (takes longer to cure, but that's the good stuff).

I never throw an old busted rod away just for that purpose.   I have tons of guides.   If you were close I'd match one up for ya.

Cool, I'll go grab some at the hardware store. Appreciate the tips! And yea, little far of a drive. I'm tempted to go fishing though..work is dead.
