Ryan Miloshewski Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 I have a guide on one of my baitcasters that has a crack or something in it. The abrasion is not good. I don't want to replace the whole guide. I was wondering if anybody had any tips on how to repair it? It's just one spot, and I've identified where with a Q-tip. Would a file work? Or electrical tape? Thanks in advance. “To those devoid of imagination a blank place on the map is a useless waste; to others, the most valuable part.”--Aldo Leopold
fishinwrench Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 You can replace just the ceramic ring if you're good at doing fiddly things like that. I've done it many times.

Wonder if super glue would work temporarily? “To those devoid of imagination a blank place on the map is a useless waste; to others, the most valuable part.”--Aldo Leopold

I never throw an old busted rod away just for that purpose. I have tons of guides. If you were close I'd match one up for ya.

And yea, little far of a drive. I'm tempted to go fishing though..work is dead. “To those devoid of imagination a blank place on the map is a useless waste; to others, the most valuable part.”--Aldo Leopold
