Members Jamie74370 Posted April 23, 2020 Members Posted April 23, 2020 I am looking to make a trip to beaver lake. I have been a few times on a guide chasing stripers. I fish almost exclusively for white bass over on grand lake. I figured since I am off work for the time being I might try to make a few trips to some other lakes. Anyone have any recommendations or locations to try. I will be in my boat and can get pretty much anywhere since it’s a jet drive. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
wily Posted April 24, 2020 Posted April 24, 2020 I would fish at night with a big topwater in the mid lake area. It’s too late in the year imo for them to be up in the rivers Good luck and post how you do
bferg Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 If you want to catch them topwater get over here in the next 2 weeks. Big old school pencil poper. Send me a message if you make it over and I can draw you a map of a starting point or two. BilletHead 1
Quillback Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 I agree with these guys, get a pencil popper that you can throw a mile and chase top water fish. If they aren't on top, throw a 3.8 or 4.3 Keitech at them. I haven't been out on Beaver in a few weeks so I can't tell you where to fish, but they should be showing up in good numbers near the dam soon.
