Will S. Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 Ok YES, I admit it, I prefer a hand control trolling motor.. BUT Here is what I need help with. I opened up the head unit to replaced the black & red plug wires. SOMEHOW now when the control is on 0, the prop still turns. It stops when I am on #2 forward speed. I am positive I did not make a mistake wiring the cables. Before I tear into this again. Anyone have a suggestion on my probably issue ? Maybe I had to align something before I reassembled ? Thanks.
fishinwrench Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 Are all speeds (forward and reverse) still there? Just the "0" position is off ?
fishinwrench Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 Not sure how the handle to rheostat connection is on that one, but it sounds like it has gotten off a bit.
Will S. Posted July 24, 2020 Author Posted July 24, 2020 Guess I will be opening it up again..& have a look around. Ill post my results. Hopefully with pics & results "for the next guy that does this".. thanks.
Will S. Posted July 24, 2020 Author Posted July 24, 2020 fishinwrench, I slowly opened the case and seen the rheostat module had slipped OUT of position when I reassembled. I put it back in the slot where it belongs. All is perfect now. Thanks for the heads up ... fishinwrench 1
