oneshot 1 Posted August 28, 2020 Posted August 28, 2020 I'm hearing Peat Moss is being hard to come by. Already have Straw down for Mulch and always have plenty of Leaves. I'm thinking mixing this in plus some Lyme should be plenty to keep the soil loose. Fighting Morning Glory around the edges. Some might have suggestions on this? Ideas?? oneshot
kjackson Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Morning glory is incredibly invasive. I'd go nuclear on it...a landscaper once told me the best treatment was to dig up one of the primary roots and dip the cut end in pure Roundup for at least 15 seconds.
oneshot Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 I’m thinking getting late in the season might spray it around the edge but I know I will still have seed. Being a pain because I have Chicken Wire around the plot and it is in that. oneshot
Dutch Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Remedy and diesel will kill just about any thing.
oneshot Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Found some Peat Moss so all is good. Going to put down some Lime too. oneshot
oneshot Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Well put bunch of Chicken Manure, Lime on my garden. Thinking blowing some Leaves on it and Spading them in. Going to put Wood Ash on it. If I think it needs more get some Peat Moss. Pulling few weeds out of my Strawberries then mulch with Straw. What work do I want to do? Leaves can wait but Garden Spading and Firewood can’t. oneshot
