Al Agnew Posted July 15, 2021 Posted July 15, 2021 The Buffalo has a huge watershed, and the lower portion in that area has a very narrow valley. I've seen photos of Buffalo River floods that were lapping at the bottom of the Highway 14 bridge, which is more than 70 feet above normal river level. So yeah, you can see why the floods can build up some immensely high gravel bars! wily and Quillback 2
