Hey all! I, as many others do, enjoy fishing the James River. Just thought I would liven up the topic alittle and ask: If you had just one day to fish, would you hit the upper James or the lower? Without giving honey holes away which section would you target for a day of fishing? I personally would go lower James, because there's more water. Curious what everyone else would do!

Depends how lower your talking about.  Its a circus from Bridgeport up to McCords with all the snaggers, white bassers and guys after crappie.  I did that yesterday but stayed around Bridgeport and Flat creek.  Its a lot of people to deal with and if your in a Yak i would stay away, everyone plowing water making the biggest wakes they can

All sections have their advantages/disadvantages, I don’t think you can make a bad decision. I know where I would go but it’s only because I know that area the best, which would be no advantage to you.

Yeah I never go down quite that far with my canoe. Stay Blunks and above.
