I made a quick trip to the Cotter access this morning before the predicted monsoons hit. Water was running around 14k cfs so it limits the wading opportunities. I found an area with lots of suckers stacked up and some looked to be actively spawning. I put on a Y2K and fished downstream of the suckers. I caught a bunch of rainbows, 1 brown and this pretty golden. I fished for the golden for about 15 minutes before he finally took the fly. He would come up and look at it and either turn away or a rainbow would eat it. Lots of fun to watch and it is amazing how visible they are and how well camouflaged the rainbows around him were.

Looks like they are predicting another 2-3 inches of rain over next couple of days so more high water.
