Members Otacon24 Posted August 19, 2022 Members Posted August 19, 2022 Heading to Stockton tonight to do some night fishing for crappie. Anyone still catching them around bridge pilings?
MrGiggles Posted August 19, 2022 Posted August 19, 2022 The west end of the 245 bridge usually usually starts to produce late Aug-Nov for me, although I haven't been there yet this year. It's a popular spot though. wtr dogs 1 -Austin

Members Otacon24 Posted August 19, 2022 Author Members Posted August 19, 2022 Thanks, that's were I usually went 6-7 years back when we had a boat. First night fishing trip since we got a new one! There used to a rope or loop or something on about the 2nd piling from the west that we'd tie off too, but if not we'll figure something out.
Members Otacon24 Posted August 21, 2022 Author Members Posted August 21, 2022 Went Friday night on 3rd piling under 245 bridge. We're boats at 1 and 2. Fished from 7-10pm and no luck. Did get lost of baitfish around lights, just didn't stay late enough I guess. Little guys was getting hungry so we left a little early. Didn't see anyone else catching anything. Prefect night to be out there though!

Prefect night to be out there though! When I fished that area a lot it didn't really start to heat up until the water started cooling off in September. Always the first column and then the second as the water started to get cold. I always tried to hit it during the week when nobody else is there, but that's not really a thing since Covid hit. Lake seems pretty busy most of the year now. -Austin
