We can get plenty food and equipment. One time had a pile up on I-44 was sending people to the Hospital. The Hospital quit taking them. It would have been interesting hearing what they were told but they started taking people again . It is hard to explain why we need stuff to the Higher Ups. They have in in their head that fires only last a couple hours. We have a brush fire in SE Missouri guys can be there for days and they need taken care of. oneshot
Carl1969 Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 Those things are a TON of calories, so be aware if you care about those things. They're soldier fuel & their most redeeming virtue is that they'll jam you up solid for a week. Never much cared for pooping in the woods, so a plus for me. Lol! The old ones in the late '80's were horrible. Turkey fat diced with gravy, dehydrated pork patty... Blech. By '07 or '08, they were pretty decent, especially the vegetarian meals. I remember sittin' in the pine swamps of Richmond County, NC in the early '00's playin' at bein' a steely eyed killer, doin' Army training & such & was overjoyed to find a pack of M&Ms in my MRE. "M&M, Proud sponsor of the 1992 Olympics!"

oneshot 1 Posted August 27, 2022 Author Posted August 27, 2022 Found out the deal on MRE. They decided we'll eat them in we are in the office late. Went to FT. Leonard Wood to get these and was wondering when I picked them up. oneshot
