fowlthing Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 My current rigging loom is not connected to the motor. It seems to me to allow some water into the boat . (2011 Ranger 522, Yamaha 250) I also want to run the ethernet cable from the motor to my graph. The current bundle looks as full as possible. I helped a friend fish one of these cables down his loom and it was very difficult. Suggestions on a split loom, or some type of cable cover. I have seen one with a zipper on Amazon, and one from McMaster-Carr that is a cable wire wrap. Suggestions? Thanks for any help
fishinwrench Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 TH Marine, at one time, made a neoprene rigging cover with a Velcro closure. Alot of guys hated them because they only lasted a couple years in the elements.....but they weren't overly expensive to refresh periodically. I tried to search for one but it didn't pop right up....so they may have quit offering them. I hate the zippered ones, they look worse than bundling/covering with 4 pounds of electric tape, plus you can't cut to size without destroying the stupid zipper. And after a year the zipper doesn't work anymore anyway.....and you have to just cut it off when replacing control cables, fuel/oil hose, ect. grizwilson 1
