Had our club tournament Saturday. The bite was tough for everyone. We have a 4 fish limit. I had 2 keepers for just over 4 pounds. Both square bill fish.  Several others caught fish on the same bait. I caught several shorts on a wacky around docks as well as a shakey. Just couldn’t find a good fish.  Word was jigs caught the better fish.

Winning weight was 7.14.  Solo and 4 fish limit.  We have our last tournament of 2023 on October 14 out of Aunts Creek on TR if anyone wants to fish a solo event.

$50 entry

$10 big bass

Both pay back 100%
No A-Rigs

Seen whites but no bites. Not sure on walleye.

I did witness a guy pulling his crappie up out of the water and a musky grabbed it out of the air. Pretty cool sight and sound.  One of our guys hooked one too so the musky are active.

Probably going to hit it going up or coming back from Truman next week. Front coming thru Weds that is going to start the fall cool down. I heard the shad were starting to ball on Truman.

Have to find a crappie size swimbait for those musky, that would be fun.
