Indian Creek, August 2

Put in at first light once again.  Went right to the back of Indian, but the secret spot has dried up.  I knew it was just a matter of time, it was fun while it lasted.  Worked the area over hard, caught a couple of spots and a couple of whites on the 3.3 swimbait, and that was it.

Moved over to another cove that had held a few fish and picked up a few smallies and a couple of 14" stripers.  Again on swimbaits deep in 20-30 FOW.

Left at 1000.  Back at the ramp ran into a guide that had pulled out right before me.  He asked me if I wanted some stripers as his clients decided they did not want them and if I did not take them, he was going to "release" them.  I decided to take them, so in a bit I'll be filleting 3 stripers that are in the 5-6 lb. range.

Still a fun day I'm sure.   30 ft about the deepest I like to fish in this hot water.

I'll get back at it soon.   Out in the mountains now escaping the heat and humidity!

It is hot for sure, with no relief on the horizon.
