Quillback Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Put in at first light once again. Went right to the back of Indian, but the secret spot has dried up. I knew it was just a matter of time, it was fun while it lasted. Worked the area over hard, caught a couple of spots and a couple of whites on the 3.3 swimbait, and that was it. Moved over to another cove that had held a few fish and picked up a few smallies and a couple of 14" stripers. Again on swimbaits deep in 20-30 FOW. Left at 1000. Back at the ramp ran into a guide that had pulled out right before me. He asked me if I wanted some stripers as his clients decided they did not want them and if I did not take them, he was going to "release" them. I decided to take them, so in a bit I'll be filleting 3 stripers that are in the 5-6 lb. range. WT 85. BilletHead, Lance34, snagged in outlet 3 and 1 other 4
AR Huzgr Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Still a fun day I'm sure. 30 ft about the deepest I like to fish in this hot water. I'll get back at it soon. Out in the mountains now escaping the heat and humidity! Quillback 1
