AR Huzgr Posted August 16, 2024 Posted August 16, 2024 Went out again at 6:00 a.m., midlake points searching for walleye. Only took a dozen crawlers with me again so thought I'd see what I could catch before it got too hot. The walleye are still active. For my dozen crawlers I got 12 walleye ranging from 14 in up to 3 lb. I had more shorts this time than last week. Mixed in with the walleye I got five catfish and one spotted bass as well. So 18 fish on a dozen crawlers I'm pretty happy with. I used a lime green smile blade spinner/crawler harness. 0.9 mph and got them all from 27 to 31 ft. I didn't keep any today and did quick release keeping them in the water so no photos today. I tried some artificials after the crawlers were gone, I had some hookups on jigging rap but couldn't get them to the surface before they came unpinned. There was sporadic topwater around me but nothing close and I did not chase it. WT 83 snagged in outlet 3, nomolites, Dan the fisherman and 7 others 9 1
