Johnsfolly Posted September 30 Posted September 30 These are by far the most common suburban fall mushroom that we have seen. The neighbor's yard had several nice flushes and Sue and Livie brought some home. We confirmed species by the white spore print and cooked up some. Just a little butter and S&P. They retained their firmness. Weren't slimy and had a mild flavor but with just a slight bitter aftertaste. I was heading out of town when they harvested them and we didn't get a chance to try them in some recipes. Maybe next year. BilletHead 1
