Quillback Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I thought I would not have time to fish for a few days, but got my appointment wrapped up quickly and was able to get to the Indian Creek launch at noon. Fished until 5 PM. Fishing was a bit slower, I caught a couple dozen smallmouth so it was good fishing but not out of sight good like it has been the last few times out. I did some poking around on what I consider to be post spawn banks, steeper banks that drop off quickly and there were some fish on them. There also seem to still be some on the spawning spots. I think they are starting to scatter around, but that is based on one day's observation. Had a couple of bass spit out little one inch craws. Ned rigs and the 2.8 Kietch are what I fished today. The buck brush is really coming on in a few spots on the bank. That stuff must stay dormant during high water years. Grows fast too. If the lake does ger high this spring, there will be some good cover to fish. I saw water surface water temps of 66-67. Looking back through my records, it is usually around 62 this time of year. Eagles are nesting. BilletHead 1
