Fishrman Posted November 8, 2007 Author Posted November 8, 2007 dtrs5kprs I am located in Cassville, where are you located? Just looking for some help on settings and tutorial by someone who knows a lot more about it than me. Sorry if I've overstepped. Thanks for you input.
captmac Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Just a thought for Bill or Don or who ever, would an electronics seminar later in the winter go over? I for one would come To have a true friend is wonderful, to have a true friend who fishes with you....... priceless

captmac Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 The ball is rolling! I could check on some halls to hold it in in the Shell Knob area and we can go from there, this forum alone will most likely generate a good crowd To have a true friend is wonderful, to have a true friend who fishes with you....... priceless
Quillback Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 I would like to attend if you have a seminar.
CaptainJoe Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 I would like to attend, also. Perhaps mid-lake would be best for all. We had a Coast Guard meeting for guides at Kimberling City Hall and the facilities were great. I have used the LCX-15MT and it was a good graph. I now use two LCX-25C's. Color, additional wattage, and more screen pixels were the reasons I went with the 25C's. Remember our veterans! Fishing Buddy Don House Posted November 8, 2007 Fishing Buddy Posted November 8, 2007 Well, guy's I have no problem talking about electronics if you want, a graph is a graph. I've used Lowrance, PinPoint and now sold on Humminbird.. Or even better a more non-bias discussion of Graphs. Or Heck I might be able to get the Humminbird Rep to show up? Maybe we could get Bill to talk about Lowrance? Up to you guys, we could discuss the basics on screen resolutions, size, color vers b/w, peak to peak power, transducers, dual transducers, switches, ect, all for deep water fishing. I could even do something about the new side imaging units that I use if you wanted. Just need to find a place, pick a day, determine discussion and see who could come I guess... Anyway I'm open until Mid Jan then after that in and out for a few months. Keep discussing maybe we can work all of this out!!! Good Fishing Everyone Capt. Don Capt. dtrs5kprs Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Fishrman...sent you a pm in reply to earlier Q's. Will be in Kimberling over the Turkey holiday. Capt. Don...not sure which H'bird rep you mean, but if it is Dave P. I'm sure he would do a great job if available. Stayed next door to him on two trips at the lake this spring, was good enough to show me the new units when he was at the Ranger tmt in May. Those H'birds are cool units, from my perspective just too much to re-learn for a 15+ year Lowrance guy. Would rather spend lake time fishing than fiddling with a new unit. Takes some looking at to figure out what the picture is. Guess we've come a long way from the old green box.
