Danoinark Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 Why haven't the MDC ever stocked Brookies and Cuts in Taney? Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
MoCarp Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 I remember catching bowcuts hybrids a while ago (20 years) unsure why things settled on just 'bows n browns mo MONKEYS? what monkeys?
Seth Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 Some of the rainbows I've caught in Taneycomo could almost pass for a cutbow. They had bright markings underneath the gill plate like a cutthroat.
Randall Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 i caught a few like that the last time i was down i think it would be nice to have cutthroat and brooks in taney, i haven't ever caught either and i'd like to Cute animals taste better.

I would love to see them stocked unless there is some ecological reason not too. Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
Randall Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 i can't see any ecological reason, there are rivers in arkansas that have browns, rainbows, brooks, and cutts all together and the fishing is pretty good from what i've heard Cute animals taste better.

One of each during the same fishing trip. Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
tippet7 Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 I too have caught some of those that I have had to look twice at, thinking they were cuts. You are so stupid you threw a rock at the ground and missed.
Randall Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 i wonder if there's any way to convince mdc to start stocking them, i'd sign a petition if one got started... i'm sure tu would back it too. Cute animals taste better.
Danoinark Posted February 5, 2006 Author Posted February 5, 2006 I was thinking the same. Phil might be able to give us a more indept discussion of whether it has been discussed before either by the MDC or the Branson TU. Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
