For the last couple of weeks for some reason, I got to thinking about MTM. I do not know him from Adam, but has anyone heard from him? From his last post, he didn't sound like he was doing very well.

I just stopped by to say Hi to you fine folks. I have been under the weather a bit but am on the mind. They have me on some drugs that make it hard to do much at times. They also have me in a new neck brace trying to stretch the mussel's on the left side. If this dosen't work (I have my fingers crossed it does) They are talking about another surgery and me being in a Halo brace for several month's No fun at all. Anyway I jusr wanted to say I still read the board and enjoy it very much. I hope you all go out and catch a few fish for me as it may be a time before I can fish again.

I hope you are doing well Phill the boards are all great you are doing a very fine job. I promise to post more when it gets a little easier to write without the drugs.

I wish all of you God Speed have a great fishing season and please be safe. God Bless. Ron

I have PM'ed and emailed him. I fear he is in bad health. I have no other way to contact him.

Yea,I hope everythings alright too.I once traded Ron 3 red squirrel hides for some of his flies he tied in Montana. Not knowing he was a pro guide and tier.He sent me 30 or 40 of the best flies I'd ever seen with a fly box!He said he was from N.E Arkansas originally and called some guide friends to find out what flies would be good for me and tied them and sent them. What a nice guy.He knew I was a duck hunter and asked if I could get him a Wood Duck for the lemon breast feathers.I told him my next Woody was his........Hope I still owe him that Woody.

Thanks Rusty. That's a shame.

Well thats bad news. After I insisted he didn't have to send/tie me some flies for the hides....he sent them anyway. After telling him I was getting the better deal....he started adding ammo, hunting time, prepare time to which we both laughed knowing thats a pleasure. He also taught me how to prepare my hides for tanning/fly tying and joked about the way I prepared his.I think some of us knew what a truely great experienced outdoorsmen he was and surely will be missed. My fly rod flys at half mast today and I tip my camo hat to you MTM[moutainman]........anyone want this wood duck.........sorry could'nt resist.
