conman
Guys, My church Men's club is looking for a resort to hold our annual fishing trip. The last five years we have been at Bridgeport in Cape Fair, but we are interested in moving to a different part of the lake. Our fishing results on that part of the lake have been hit or miss. We have several novice anglers and we are hoping to find an area that we can put up better numbers than we have on the upper James. We will be down the last week of April/first week of May. We have approximately 25 guys that come down for all or part of a week. Nothing fancy, just need clean rooms, about 10 - 12 slips, and preferably a place to get together as a group to eat and play cards. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Chris C_Conners@sbcglobal.net
am4mu
PM Greg at Boomerang Resort over by Branson West. These are great people and a clean resort that they have been remodeling over the winter. He goes by WVU on this forum. I have been there and would highly recommend it. Dutch
Why not try something at a different lake like Stockton or Pomme de Terre or go to Lilly's landing and catch some trout.

Members DarthVMAX
You might also look at Trace Hollow Resort. Its near Baxter (midway between Kimberling and Shell Knob on 86 just north of the Arkansas border). Rick and Connie are the owners. Tell them Ross Chappell refered you ;-)
Steve Smith
I second the Happy Hollow Resort that Ozark mentioned. Clean, with kitchenettes, and great folks running the place. Just talk to Brenda at happyhollow@tri-lakes.net. (417) 779-4360. Boat ramp, fairly new covered dock, etc. ___________________________ AKA Flysmith - Cassville MO
Champ188
Figured I'd throw one in the mix as well ... my wife and I are very fond of Schooner Creek Resort, which is in the midlake area at Kimberling City, very near the Highway 13 bridge. Plenty of boat slips, clean rooms, reasonable rates, etc.

conman
We are taking Capt. Don's advice, and have booked at Lakeside Resort. This place looks like it will fit our group just fine. Thanks for all the recommendations. Now we just need to get winter over with and get on with Spring fishing.
