dan hufferd Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Sometimes when I get the "Can't go fishing blues" I do a little planning with this map. It is a little clumsy to use but the contour is good. I use Topo Quest for Table Rock too. Brad N Steph, zarraspook, dprice and 5 others 8
Members lrak Posted December 5, 2016 Members Posted December 5, 2016 Stockton lake is very well surveyed. You can use the 1 ft contour interval map of Lake Stockton from here. "eyes"haveit 1
nhornback Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 This is the best info I've seen on this site since I've been coming here! I have very basic electronics and only on the bow, so map study is becoming a very important part of my quest to become a better angler. Fishing Hot Spots maps have been my best bet but are 10ft contour intervals so 1ft is going to be very useful... Thanks for the great info! dprice 1
dprice Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 Dan that is awesome I still need help with getting that setup on our new mac I've turned it on once and scratched my head ! Dprice priceheatingair.com
Members eagle1584 Posted December 5, 2016 Members Posted December 5, 2016 Those are great! One of my favorite sites to look at is http://www.historicaerials.com/ They have a variety of old aerial photos similar to the modern Google Earth pictures as well as a variety of Topo Maps. They have the Stockton area in 1950. Be sure to click on the "compare" button where you can select 1950 on one side and a more modern image on the other and slide back and forth to compare. Zoom way in and you'll get a great look at the land before the lake was there. Great site to kill some time with. I've figured out why some of my favorite spots hold fish when I started looking around the pre-lake images
dprice Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Nice I'm tempted to try to do this Dprice priceheatingair.com

Try out this website http://webapp.navionics.com You can pull it up on your phone too if you have service out on the water. dan hufferd and Hammer time 2 -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
