wily Posted August 10, 2020 Posted August 10, 2020 All the wires from the back run into this black deal...and from there go up to the console. I assume they’re inside that top cap I watched a video that was basically saying I should tape extra Rope to other transducer wire...and pull it to the back...and then tape the new wire to that...and then pull it all back to console...does that sound right? or is there an easier way? thanks
fishinwrench Posted August 10, 2020 Posted August 10, 2020 There's no easy way. Either you get lucky and the connector on the end of the transducer cable doesn't hang up on a tie strap, loop of wire, or something, and pulls right through on the first try.....Or you fight it back and forth for 2+ hours and FINALLY get it fished through there. Actually on that Lowe you can pull that rear deck panel, if needed, and shorten your cable fishing distance by about 4 feet.
rps Posted August 10, 2020 Posted August 10, 2020 I feel for you Dan. Do not let cursed fate and divine **** up thwart you. BTW, I am blessed to be several years down the road and able to hire people to fight that battle. I remember modifying my first boat, a Lowe flat bottom, to put in a floor. Never again.
kjackson Posted August 10, 2020 Posted August 10, 2020 Liberal use of duct tape to streamline the fishing wire/transducer fitting junction will help--as long as the wad o' tape isn't too large. Good luck. Terrierman 1
