It has cleared up but man there is still a lot of water. A few pools have changed down towards shoal creek,unsure of anything above the lower access. Me and a buddy fished it this afternoon and did ok but it took a lot of lead to get bit.

2015, My fishing year in review.

Thats a detailed year end report. One day i would like to log my trips, but im lazy. Sounds like a great year! Once a month would be a sad sad way to live. At a very minimum I have to go once a week, and thats rough. 2-3 trips/week generally does the job. -
Time allowing, i do thi k I'll head over anyway this afternoon. To fish.

Id be happy to volunteer, but i have tried for 2 years to get an annual membership and nobody can ever get me to whomever is in charge of that. I gave up trying and get a bad taste in my mouth when i shell out 5 bucks to take my kids there. Sad about the damage but id be willing to bet they will be reachable now that they need help.

No, I wish but it is a white ribbon stringer filling stream that is SCREAMING for a c&r season or section.

I have an awesome wife who let me slip away for a couple of hours yesterday and a couple more today. Went to some new areas on my local flow and had amazing success. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I know its a long shot with the forecast calling for a TON of rain, but....... The White is projected low water monday morning. It has been a while.

There are two ways to handle this situation. Man up and fish or dont man up and wish you had fished. Dont let rain keep you from fishing, especially there. It takes VERY localized Heavy rain to blow it out. Gamble life is short fishing opportunities are limited.

Yes i got it and have fished it. It shoots pretty good, floats good enough, and all in all seems to be a good line. Well worth the 20 bucks (loops on both ends is nice). I would have been disappointed if this was a 90 dollar line but IMO its much better than Rio Mainstream and as good or better than most mid priced lines.

I think stripping streamers would work VERY well, but it is incredibly tight quarters on the sections I usually fish. Roll casting is the name of the game (Although roll casting streamers is no different than a heavy double nymph indicator rig?) Maybe tomorrow!

Had a new 6 wt I needed to break in and got a couple hours off this afternoon so i went to the river. Lotsa lead, big flies and a bunch of fish!

I generally mark them on my rod, but i was in too much shock to do anything except yell at the guys upstream and ask for them to take a picture. Im on cloud 9.

Took a while to make him eat but he took an egg, nearly straightened the hook. Best guess is 22" but no tape and who cares!
