  2. I wear my arms out by catching, and from getting into the cooler. Thats why I love river basses.
  3. Im too lazy to fish early, if you are talking river fish, no need they will eat 24/7...
  4. pflueger president, nothing better under $100 imo
  5. Gotta get to Stockton one day.....
  6. Yup if you have confidence you will catch fish. If you are throwing soft plastics make sure it gets to the bottom, let the current move it for you. Dont overlook/overthink the Ned, for real its a great bait.
  7. Just shy of 20 is my pb at JFK, my uncle works on the river and has showed me some pics of some true pigs.
  8. Nice fisheseses, never have hit stockton but REALLY want to. I imagine it being like a cross between the rock and grand.
  9. lol You weren't bothering me, I pulled the aforementioned lm, one just shy of legal and a 16.5 K that made my drag scream on that row.
  10. I had to, it was just too good of a thread not to. (and I'm a "Ned Head")
  11. Sounds right, I couldn't get on fish at the same spot more than once the whole trip. One good thing is I am being forced to move out of my comfort zone and do different things as a result.
  12. Nope I was the guy in the beat up tracker a few docks ahead of you as soon as you put in. (just up from the swim area around 9 a.m.)
  13. like nothing you have ever seen.......
  14. Not trying to hijack this thread, but I was wondering if any of you have ever tried the Ned rig? How did you like it?
  15. I will say my biggest of the trip (19") came under a walkway in about 5 ft of water on a shakey craw. If quill runs a phoenix then he was pulling up down from me when it happened Tuesday.
  16. I fished Monday thru Wednesday Big M caught most fish on bluff ends and deep docks, but spent most of my time throwing into flooded brush. Just couldn't make it work shallow.
  17. Never done it, but I believe there are good smallmouth numbers below Ramsey. I have family in Heber I may have to have scout for me.
  18. Sounds like a good couple of days, love to see some activity on this forum, by far my favorite tailwater.
  19. Good looking fish, nice.
  20. But...no cooler of beer. Any opinions on choice of boat? Sounds like a bad idea......
  21. Pflueger President and you wont be disappointed.

    Big M 5-20

That must be why there was only one other truck there...
  24. And some people get all fired up by how others fish.
  25. Fished around Big M from 1-6 yesterday, good action to start and finish with not much going in the middle. Started out on windblown banks and had 2 keeps in first 5 casts, one being a 17.75 sm. Picked up a few more over next 30 minutes before tunning down to a pocket 5hat had been holding some good fish. Got zeroed on next 2 spots before catching a couple 14 inch spots off a point. Ran around a big cove flipping brush for next hour or so with a single fish, 17.5 lm, to show. Threw the ned at some docks for a while and caught 2 more keeps, 1 just over 17 and one at 16, with a handful of smaller fish thrown in for fun. Ran back to where I started to try to hit 20 and I did. 20 total fish with 6 keepers, and most of my better fish came off of wood. Ned and shakey head caught all of them, couldn't get but on the grub or spook. All in all a very good day for me.
