Im thinking with all this cold water run off that the backs of coves and creeks might not be as good as main lake and secondary points. Transition banks are good too. Same places you would throw a wart. Just find some with depth and fish it slow and maybe even weight it with split rings or bigger front hook. That way it's slowly falling. Docks with brush are great places too.
Haven't tried Luck E Strike yet cuz someone on this forum keeps buying out the good color:-). Really become a fan of the McStick. I use megabass and spro now. Skirmish baits has a Greg Bohannan series of jerkbait too. There is a color called white tail that they can't keep in stock. Also have custom crankbaits as well. Dwain Batey is painting them.
Simplify. Get something gold,something translucent,Something shad like and something brighter for stained water. That will cover it all. Color is in the eye of the beholder. No right or wrong color.
