    Trophy is right. I had to buy some at 7-10 dollars then get them painted for $9 a piece. Plus gas to pick them up and drop em off. I have Baitwerks do mine. Guy is great. Send me a message trophy. I will try one.

    I meant no disrespect when i made that "keepers not big fish" comment. I started fishing seriously about 5 years ago and I study,eat,sleep and drink fishing. I guess im getting frustrated cuz it seems the the harder i push the more confused i get. I am trying to make up what these guys have known for lifetimes and trying to cram it in too fast. I appreciate the knowledge you guys share in here just getting a little frustrated that's all. If it sounded like i crapped on Champs answer that is not what i intended. My bad.

    This sounds like spots to find keepers not big fish. I am perplexed that these guys are wieghing in 15-18 pounds of fish in these tournaments. I'm trying to figure out how they are catching them with size. I had a 5 fish limit that was 6 lbs. granted those guys are turning in 6 fish but the per fish avg is way higher. I guess im trying to figure out if there is a pattern that catches bigger fish this time of year or do they just have awesome spots.

    BC are more accurate, cast farther and as Quil mentioned they are more diverse because of the rod variables. More durable too in my opinion. Typically more expensive though.

    I had a tough day at Beaver yesterday. Caught a few on the wart early the rest were on a jig. The jig was only working around docks with hardwood around and a pretty steep drop. Did have a 5 fish limit but they totaled about 6 lbs. Probably caught 12-13 fish total.

    I was fishing yesterday at Beaver and saw a lot of people sitting on slow tapering gravel points. What tecnique are they using and was it because of water temp or conditions. I really struggle with anything that is not right on the bank. Trying to be a bit more diverse. Thanks for any input.

    I wear Cabelas polar wieght base layer, sweatshirt and sweat pants, thick warm coat then i put my bps 100mph suit over that. I usually burn up uf its over freezing. As for footwear i wear north face gortex shoes or vasque boots. Expensive stuff but well worth the cost.

    I think u could find a lot of boat going the used route for the same money. Just make sure u have compression test done on motor and really check it out before u pull the trigger. This is a great time of year to buy. There are a lot of people that just fish during spring and summer and would love to free up money for Christmas. Send me your number in a direct message. I have several friends that buy and sell boats. They typicaly will make better deals right now cuz they don't want there money tied up all winter.

    Thanks for the tips guys. I will have to give them a try. Hopefully next time i go they will be a little closer to the bank. Got my wiggle warts just waiting to be used.

    Went yesterday for a few hours and caught one suspending in a tree in about 20ft of water. I wanted to know some suggestions on what to use around trees when they are suspended when the wind is blowing like crazy. I would think spoons will get hung up and light tackle won't sink because of the wind. Trying to learn to fish away from the bank so pardon me if this is a silly question. Thanks for any input.

    I volunteered for third day too. We will have to hook up and meet at meeting before hand. Im bringing sime fresh wet wipes just in case.

    This might be off color but what the hell does someone do if they have to drop a duece? I'm so afraid i'm gonna have to go to the bathroom during the day that i'm considering starving myself so that won't be an issue. I'm looking forward to it. I hope it is money well spent.

    I signed up to be a marshal for the BASS Elite series tournament on Bull Shoals in April. Just wondering if anyone here has done it and how their experience was? I figured it would be a great way to learn something and really get into these guys heads and see how the break down a lake during a tournament. Thanks for any input.

    Sorry to say this. I am afraid those wake board boats aren't going anywhere. It's all about money and those are the hottest selling boats out there. Better get used to them. As for fishing. It seems that after dark is the time to go. I went last night and had a nice and quiet evening. A whole lot cooler too.
