I like the Lucky Craft RC 1.5. Chart/black back. Jackall has a new one that is fantastic. Called an ASKA chart/purple back. Luhr Jensen speed traps are awesome around here too with the craw patterns.

I have heard people are breaking 65# braid. So they are using 80# instead.

KVD doesn't pay for anything. His Sponsors do. His sponsors wouldn't foot the bill if he wasn't good. I don't think you can fish Elite series just cause you have the money. Now FLW on the other hand will take anyone with money, but you have to pay for several if not all tournaments in advance. Can't just pay as you go. I do agree there are some "sticks" out there that are good enough to fish the pro side but just can't afford it. Those Elite guys are truly Elite fisherman.

That validates my point even further. I don't mean to disrespect your group what so ever. If i did i apologize. Old School to me sounds like fear of change thats all. I agree with Champ about the rig making the good fisherman even better. That is why i can't figure out why some of the tournament fisherman don't like it. The more than one lure arguement that some have suggested is lame. It is legal so get over it.

Probably cause the people running it don't want their butt kicked. There is simply no reason to ban the A-rig in a local tournament. If they are its because the people that always do win are worried. Imo

I think all you guys that are used to cashing a check in these tournaments are scared to lose money to a weekend angler who in your minds hasnt " earned" the right weather it be time or money to win or place in these tournaments. I love this rig. So far the Elite series guys are the only ones not aloud to use it. If it is so bad then everyone will ban it. If not be ready for a bunch of no names like me to win some money now and then.

What is your time worth if you are making those? I would rather just go buy one and get it over with. Unless it is something you enjoy doing which in that case I coul see the attraction. Nice looking rig by the way.

There will always be some fish shallow year round. As for the greater poulation they have more than likely pushed out deeper and are suspending a little more than they were. I have'nt fished the Rock in almost a month. I'm sure a lot has changed since then.

The guys at hook line and sinker can't keep swimmin flukes in stock. Zoom can't keep up with demand right now. Reaction Innovations little dippers are the same way. Crazy how this rig has affected the industry.

Not a big secret on what you should use. Any thing that looks like a minnow should work. If you use Zoom get a pearl or disco violet or even disco green. They all work.

I have been using 1/4oz jig heads with Reaction innovations little dippers and they work great. I caught one that was 6-6.5lbs on this set up. The baits were all the same color too. The A-rig is a very simple rig not rocket science. Don't overthink it. Put something that looks like minnows and chuck it.

I have a Chargeontherun onboard charger. This charger will charge batteries as you are going down the lake or at idle. If your motor is running it will charge batteries. This charger is for a boat that has 2 trolling motor batteries and a starting battery. I have had it for almost 2 years and it is still in great shape. I used the palomar and it worked great. It is one hell of a loop though.

I'm not exactly sure, when temps get around 60 degrees they are gonna be ready. I am assuming with the way temps are this year its gonna be sooner than last year for sure. Someone who fishes this lake all the time would be more likely to tell you that answer.

I take it you are a big fan of the A-rig? Curious on your take about them being aloud in tournaments? You probably avoided that thread on purpose Dont blame you if you did. Thanks for your report. Just curious. Do you use side imaging and down scan graphs. Whats your take on them?. Are they worth the money?
