Sore Thumbs

After a phone call from my aunt saying more boats were needed we left out Tuesday afternoon and headed south. The Houston area was getting plenty of help and the water was flowing towards the east so we ended up in Beaumont. It is crazy down there guys. We helped with water rescue efforts for 2 days and decided to head home yesterday afternoon. There is no food,running water,lodging or fuel left. The only way out of town was covered by 18-24 inches of water for about 3 miles. Please help these people down there in any way possible. It's worse than you think it is. I can't upload videos but I have a couple of pictures.

We decided to not go at this point. Texas governor just deployed all National Gaurd in the state to help. Word is to get into the city you need help from the National or Coast Gaurd. It would be foolish for us to take time away from people who truly need help.

Will do Vernon. Definitely not going down there without a plan. I helped out in Joplin at Missouri Southern taking in food and clothes. The generosity of people that had nothing themselves was overwhelming. I have family down there and I can't just sit here and do nothing. Thank you.

It's a lot to ask but if someone would volunteer a boat for a few days I would gladly go down myself. Needs to be able to hold 5 plus people. Thanks.

They are desperate for people with flat bottom boats to rescue people from homes. Unfortunately I don't have one. Anyone going down there?

I won second place last Wednesday evening with 3 fish limit of 4.42 lbs. on Beaver. First was 5 something. It's just flat out tough right now. To make it more confusing I caught a LM in about 3 ft of water. The other 2 keeps were on drop shot at 20 fow. Hang in there it will get better soon. High water and funky weather has them scattered and confused.

We will see how attendance is when those 2 Porter brothers play. Enrollment is down because of the protests and because they stink in sports right now. That gym will be sold out every home game. Just wait and see.

The new car stores are starting to feel the effects of these high priced rigs. People aren't trading cars in like they used to. They can't when they financed a vehicle for 7-8 years. So far upside down they have to stay in what they have. Now used cars are climbing in price because the demand is higher and not enough vehicles to fill the void.

I got some Eclipse glasses for sale. Ha

Sad to say but you are an easy target. They don't want to mess with pleasure boaters so they go after good law abiding citizens. I see tons of illegal fishing going on from the banks and I don't ever see those folks getting checked.

They tried that on Beaver a few years ago and got so many complaints that it only lasted one summer.

I was 119th overall last tournament 10333 for this tournament. Ha.

I'm an idiot. I had Seth Fieder up til Thursday and switched him out when I found out they weren't fishing til Friday. Better start saving up to buy top ten a gift.

I would have watched it if it was filmed at LOZ. They filmed in Georgia because it is less expensive to film there for some reason. Walking dead is filmed there as well for the same reason.

Yep. They are gonna be running up and down from bridge to the dam I guess. No way some of those get under that bridge. Prairie creek will be a mad house. I'm putting in at Rocky Branch early and leaving early.

Word is that there will be 150-200 Cigarette boats on Beaver tomorrow for some rally. Stay away from main channel from 12-3pm. Be careful out there guys and gals.
