  1. I don't think I'd go as high as a 10, but it is a good picture. Someday I'll get out and do some more if the weather starts co-operating.
  2. On a side note, this weeks fly of the week over at flyanglersonline is a fly called an "Eye Fly" that is tied for ice fishing.
  3. Living in WI, I had often times thought of going ice fishing. Only problem was, trying to fly cast into a 6" hole in the ice from 45' away with a stiff north wind blowing seemed like a bit too much.
  4. Only if ya us to know what the fly is and who tied it.
  5. You two are agreeing again.
  6. Get a Scotty rod holder mounted on that yak and you can fish for anything your heart desires. I've fished stream smallmouth, lakes for largemouth, bluegill etc. Use a rod holder and you can even troll with a yak.
  7. And then what would Rush, Beck, Maddow etc have left to complain about?
  8. The polyurethane will pull up the grain in the wood. You'll need to sand it smooth with 800 grit and put on a second and sometimes a 3rd coat.
  9. This was taken with a Canon EOS Rebel T2i @ 74mm, f13, 1/250 sec, ISO 100. I was going back into the house after smoking a cig and noticed the setting sun and shot this over the roof tops of the neigbors houses.
  10. I hate diagrams from people that can't draw a picture worth a crap.
  11. From Blue Ribbon Fly Shop in Mountain Home, AR. It's time to change out our rental rods for the upcoming season. Therefore, we have four complete combos for sale... rod, reel, and line... (2) Scott SVS 905 (9', #5), Ross Colorado reel, WF floating line $100 (2) Scott SVS 906 (9', #6), Ross Colorado reel, WF floating line $100
  12. Environmentaly friendly producers.
  13. Just another pic I took yesterday that I tought you might enjoy.
  14. Under GWB they pretty much eliminated the clean water act and allowed the gas and oil guys to pretty much pollute all they want.
  15. Like I said, a bald eagle does not get it's white head and tail feathers until they are a couple years old. The best way to discern a bald from a golden is that the bald eagle's legs are bald and the golden eagle has feathers on it's legs.
  16. And just how many streams has the MDC checked lately for mercury etc. I'm sure there are a lot of streams in MO that have high levels of mercury and other toxins that are harmful to human health. Just because a stream is not listed on the toxicology reports, does not mean it is ok. Many streams are never tested.
  17. You can get by fly fishing with a cheaper rod/reel set-up going with the basspro or whatever. One thing I would strongly recommend though is casting lessons. Learn how to cast properly and fly fishing will be alot more enjoyable to you than just going out there and whipping a rod around trying to learn yourself.
  18. The bald eagle does not have the white head and tail feathers until they reach a few years old.
  19. Funny how it's the liberals who are more concerned with conservation and passing laws to keep our water, air etc clean so we can pursue our favorite sports and not have to worry too much about some unregulated company dumping poisons into our environment. Yet it those same liberals who are blasted by the conservative pundits every time they try to make our outdoors more enjoyable. Go figure.
  20. So long as you all don't just come down here to AR and screw thing up like you did in MO, I'm fine with it.
  21. Wisconsin stopped using them when they went to the cheap plastic licenses. They had two trout stamps. One for inland trout and one for great lakes trout.
