  1. Sorry I know I am an idiot....I just love looking at fish pics....sometimes I just can't help myself. They looked good though didn't they???hahahaha
  2. Seriously I am not concerned that most fisherman would even be able to go catch the fish we do even if they had a Nedrig ☺ I am more concerned about the increased pressure from more anglers....that being said it was grave error in my part posting that set of pics.
  3. I am bored and playing with my Google photos. I always enjoy looking at fish pics so here is a list of some I am adding as I type this. These are random pics of decent river bass over the last couple of years.....just completely bored, sorry in advance if these pics are offensive to you. I need a warm up bad, so I can get back to fishing
  4. I bought the Seahawk and it is a great boonie https://www.sheltahats.com/
  5. Alex...this is what I would pair that rod with, which is a great rod. http://www.m.ebay.com/itm/QUANTUM-SMOKE-SPEED-FREAK-SL30XPTIA-6-2-1-GEAR-RATIO-FISHING-SPINNING-REEL/322965079878?openCTB=1&varId=&item=322965079878&action=BIN&qty=1&_trksid=p2349526.m4383.l4627.c10&nrd=true I love the gear ratio on these reels and the drag is fully sealed. The reel does not get balled up like many of my Stradics have from debris thru abuse and stream submersion. I love my Stradics but they are my boat reels more or less now....I love this reel....you didn't give a price range...just letting you know this reel is performing very well under not so good conditions
  6. I thought they fit pretty much spot on...I normally wear an 11 and they were perfect...I have a wide foot and they are not bad. I wore them in a creek that was soo full of fine small rock and none got in those things....nothimg. They are very comfortable and have an ahletic feel
  7. Exactly!!!!...I must admit they are some comfortable shoes....for me they keep the sand and rocks out while I hike up the river.....great water shoes
  8. I know Al Agnew had posted this awhile back. He gave a heads up on a brand of water shoe that was on sale that was a good shoe....me being on the eternal lookout for the perfect water shoe for both keeping gravel out but also providing killer support and comfort especially if your are wading or hike up a watershed. I was skeptical but trusted Al's opinion on them and bought some. They are absolutely a phenomenal water shoe. I am giving a heads up because I bought myself another pair at Christmas for myself and both of the color scheme's are on sale. I already have a Black and Teal and I really don't care how they look....it's all about performance for me.....trust me on this Al was right these shoes rock if you entertain the thought of wading a stream. Some may find them pricey but, I just letting people know you can get the Black ones for a cheaper price but, either way your feet will be happy and for my old creek wading posterior that is hugely important. they fit pretty true IMO opinion as well....if you are going with a sock you may want to size up accordingly. I bought these already http://www.fiveten.com/us/outdoor/water/water-tennie-ocean-depths and just bought these http://www.fiveten.com/us/outdoor/water/water-tennie-black which were much higher in price the last time I was on 5 10. I'm just saying Al was right these shoes are awesome at what they were designed for and the Blacks are on sale
  9. There used to be Two or Three ramps back When it was the town of Times Beach...ramps on both sides right at the High way bridge and down at the bridge they tore out. I have fished their since the dioxin and before and had friends that lived in that little ratty town. HogWally speaks the truth...but, I think it's one of the worst spots for any fish of size. It is flat and has lots of obstacles right under the water...it is just not a good fishing spot....its pretty. It could be One of the most prolific Drum and Buffalo spots I would go for but, bass???...it sucks honesty
  10. I like the boat Daryk...its a tough area to fish and be successful
  11. Yeah I know....I'm lucky the boss was with me fishing
  12. The craw has been working good enough recently that I now have probably too much confidence in it. I went to a spot above Cedar Hill that anyone could go hit. I threw the craw for a couple of hours and I got bit. This winter has been fun so far hahahahahaha. Tight lines my friends
  13. That's a good example of one of our ugly babies hahahaha
  14. Congrats bigtime to Matt....thats a special fish
  15. Man I'm so sorry Tim...I was gonna come by but...the calls could not hear me on the other end where I was so quit answering
  16. Well sitting in the office was making me a dull boy, so I went to see if my suspicions were true about a hole I have been looking at. It looks like great Winter habitat. Suspicions confirmed it is a good Winter hole hahahahaha. I also lost an absolute giant and significantly larger than this smallie right at my feet....oh well I'm not bitchin Everyone have a great weekend and tight lines.
  17. yep I guess you are correct.....We have to live with our ugly babies here on the lower end of the Meramec, Big and Bourbeuse rivers just like the West coast syndicate has live with their midget runts......We have ugly babies and they have midget babies.....It's just diversity here in the Ozarks I guess.
  18. Al this is a friggin awesome idea......wow I had never heard this one before.......awesome. This should be done somehow someway
  19. So I know what yer saying...similar to what we had on Saturday...but our front had already blown thru. A few good bites...Aaron and I were talking and both agreed you really had to keep your concentration levels up...long periods of nothing and then on any of your next casts it will probably be a tremendous fish. It was tough conditions today IMO...I know it's tough to control the boat for sure.
  20. Yep....its true look at this ugly mut
  21. Interesting Chief.....and I agree about the land use practices bigtime..... in some cases I think it is criminal. Don't bail out on the discussion your opinions are very knowledgeable and come from an expert position IMO. You have to realize our views and opinions are about something that we care about immensely.....just like you care about the unique Neosho strain and with good reason as they are absolutely extremely important to keep around. If Spots had invaded a native Neosho watershed where they weren't before and decimated their populations you would be concerned as well I think??
  22. wow!!! sweet fish!!!! congrats man that is a hawg!!!.....I personally love the length on the on the White river chain bass.....sooo cool
  23. Thanks Al ☺ breaking off knowledge and handing it out like cookies. I need to be diligent about taking a bucket or stringer on my morning floats on the L M
  24. Hahahahaha soo true...if I don't go out I never catch them....If I go out on the water usually I can hold my own.
  25. A few fish over 12 and none over 18??? They just don't seem to get good averages with their shocking and I understand it is what it is. I have caught 5 this year 17 and above and many many from 13 to 16. I am not doing part and feel bad....2018 is gonna be a slaughter fest on those bastard for me....unfortunately I am just like Pete....2018 is going to be different. I do fish the Lower end of the Meramec a lot so I understand my numbers could be skewed but, their are plenty 12 inches and up to 17. I really need to start killing these things
