I understand, I can move on......it just took me awhile to get it into my 47 year old head. Get them while you can as far as I'm concerned......it's kinda like North County in St.Louis now after the Ferguson effect......do whatever you want now because there are really no consequences.....It's not a big deal to me anymore because after talking with MDC people at their meetings and I have full confidence they don't know ~~ about the rivers or the fish that swim in them, so their ignorance will be my bliss. Extending the trophy area on the Meramec upstream thru the trout area is a perfect example of how ignorant they are or how they portray themselves to be.

This Department of our Missouri government is NOT trying to make fishing better for quality Smallmouth and is obviously looking at their "social data" too hard. All I can say is so what??? Keep on doing just about nothing in regards to creating better fishing for quality fish. Today (August 4th) the Missouri Department of Conservation Regulations Committee voted to approve changes to the Smallmouth Bass and Rock Bass regulations. After looking at the biological and social data (9 public meetings) the following changes were approved: ROCK BASS (Goggle-eye) REGULATIONS Maintain Rock Bass Special Management Areas except the Osage Fork of the Gasconade River. Propose a Statewide Rock Bass minimum length limit of 7 inches. SMALLMOUTH BASS REGULATIONS Maintain the existing minimum length limit of 12 inches and daily limit of 6 fish on streams (other than Smallmouth Bass Special Management Areas). Propose to consolidate all Stream Black Bass Special Management Area regulations for Smallmouth Bass to: 15-inch minimum length limit One (1) fish per day creel limit Areas to be known as Smallmouth Bass Special Management Areas PROPOSED EXPANDED SPECIAL MANAGEMENT AREAS Expand the boundaries of the Jacks Fork River, Big Piney River, Meramec River, and Big River Special Management Areas. The Regulations Committee will send the approved regulation changes to the Director. If approved by the Director, then the Conservation Commission will have the opportunity to vote at the Conservation Commission meeting on August 26, 2016. If approved by the Conservation Commission, these regulation changes will go into effect on March 1, 2017. We are getting more than we can handle in Kirkwood Missouri......they will empty the three feeders we have in a day or so.....it's a bit of work to keep up with.....4 at a time pretty much all day long and I am just above the Meramec river in a parcel of about 70 acres of heavy woods

So you guys should have had 21 to 22lbs+ but still had 18 + on four fish and another thread at another lake they are freaking out on some dudes catching 18 lbs......hahahaha good job Paul

Interesting and you are fishing water that is pretty dang clear most of the time correct? ?? I have been told by a lot of guys that I would need a flourocarbon or mono leader but, I have never done it. I was just wondering if you guys do it??? So now I have to ask and I see MOpan fisher said he does but I am actually very interested in how you guys feel it performs on Baitcasters.....I use it on the Mississippi and Missouri with quite heavy plugs but have never really used it on a baitcasters other than for A-rigs and big Olde cranks....do you guys use it on BC's with smaller plugs???

Really so you find it to be more subtle and softer than PP??? I have friends who just hate braid but, I have to be honest the more I use the more I like it. Do you use a mono or flurocarbon leader?? I just can't say enough good things about braid on a spinning reel and when I am chasing Whites and Hybrids and need to be making the longest cast possible it just can't be beat IMO. I guess I'm gonna pick up some 832 I must admit it is nice to have line spooled on your reel that you know is more than likely not gonna break. When I am doing serious jungle fishing here on the Mississippi and Missouri river it's pretty much a prerequisite.

I was curious as to why you and Chief prefer The 832 over PowerPro?? I value both of your opinions on this and am using PowerPro

I wasn't trying to start a fight as Coldwater is a friend of mine and I agree with him on the river cruisers but, I also despise the floaters who get so F'ed up that they are picking fights and causing crap.....they both suck to me but, my suggestions of river monitors with training having to be taken before you enter the corridor was blown up by even the most liberal freaks on here....so I was just asking for solutions.
