Bryozoans? Hmmm never heard of them before. I was worried that the lake had been invaded by another exotic pest like zebra mussles.

I remember seeing a few of these up at Lake O 2 years ago and now they are really thick in some areas of Bull Shoals. These photos are from the Lead Hill area. They resemble frog eggs but I dont know if that is really what they are. Can someone shed some light on this? I dont remember ever seeing these on Bull before.

The one out of Theodosia on Saturday took 12lbs and some change. We wasnt in the tourney but we had about the same weight

You must be talking about the 2 that went out of Theodosia yesterday. I went to the other end of the lake as I figured that end would be full of boats. That said, it was won above the bridge.

Unloaded at Elbow yesterday. Was raining so went in the back of big Elbow crk. Water termp was 46F. Had 2 on A-Rig, both keepers. Rain let up and took off for Tucker Hollow only to get fogged in up in the horse shoe below Fine Edition. Fished there for awhile. Water was clear and cold, 41F. Couldnt get bit. Finally made it up the lake and the bite happened. Had 13 keepers total. Some came in the Lead Hill area too. No kickers just solid keepers.

I used to live in Mtn Home years ago and my house was 3 miles from Pigeon Crk. Needless to say, living that close is a game changer. I worked at Baxter Lab on graveyard shift and could get about a 1/2 day fishing in everyday if I had energy to do so. Now that I have been up by Ava for the las 12 years or so it makes going to the lake more expoensive and when I do go I really need to fish a whole day to make it worth my time.

You can say that again. Last Spring while using carolina rigs I broke off ALOT due to zebras

Just so happens that I am buying a house by Spring Creek. In fact from the back yard you can see the lake. Sure is gonna beat having to drive 45 minutes to go fishing.

Been fishing this area all month... Bass are on bluff ends from 30-60ft deep. Catching them on 3/4 oz football jigs. Had some on cranks early in the morning. No big fish. In a small tourney 12/06/2014 and had 9.70 lbs which was good enough for 3rd place. Two bags over 13lbs was first and second. The next of these tourneys will be 01/10/2015 out of Spring Creek Park.

I'll try to give you a report after today. Hopefully it will be a good report LOL

I am also part of the staff so I usually am bumping the fish or putting them on the scales. Looking forward to seeing you there!

One of my competitors in the Joe Bass Circuit makes these. He does a great job as far as I'm concerned. He will custom paint these for anyone. I just find the "off the wall" colors in the bins where they are cheap and he converts them into a work of art!

Bill, I have had only 1 walleye so far this year however the days I have been fishing have been very blue birdish as far as weather. Last year I caught more walleye on that rig than I have in all my life LOL. Keep in mind they were on those good cloudy days though. I have a Joe Bass tournament out of Buck Creek next Saturday and I hope the walleye "curse" doesnt happen like it did last year. Lat year I could have won most walleye tournaments with what I was catching! Great for the skillet but not good for a bass tournament! My dear loving wife sure loves it when I catch them in a bass tournament though . That girl can eat fish ALOT faster than I can catch them, and no thats not hard to do hahaha.

February has been a pretty decent month for me on Bull. Been averageing 15-20lbs for 5 fish each trip. Yes I am fishing that cursed A-Rig! I hate to throw it but it is giving me good results. Some days they are on the flatter points and if they are the that is where the best fish are coming from. If they are on the steeper chunch rock points I catch more but fish in the 3-4 lb range is all I can catch which is great! I like getting a few kickers like these more though, They come of the flatter points. Wished they bit on them every day. I have had some good fish on jerk baits too. I am throwing Lucky Crafts. I like Rouges better but they dont cast as far.

Threw a jerkbaits and A-Rigs but never got a smell. Water temps were right for that sort of thing but the fish apparantly didnt think so. Another boat came in when I did and said they had 3 keepers. Heard some reports of a few being caught from Oakland to Theodosia but I havent been over there.

Alot of good Smallmouth on Norfork River. Also on Bryant but you need to be further down the creek to get into the gooduns

Fished from Buck Creek to Lead Hill Saturday. Water temps were around 46F everywhere. The bite was slow, slow, slow. Had 5 keepers but it took all day to get them. Caught 4 Spots on Hula Gribs 20-30ft deep and had a decent Largemouth on a crankbait late in the day about 5 ft. Had two fish pull off a crankbait earlier. Probably biting the back hook like they often do when the water gets down in the mid 40s.

They have been from 1 to about 20 ft. I cant get bit any deeper than that. Others are but not me. Some are biting before it hits the bottom after a cast.
