Thanks Greg. It honestly took all I had to not say more. If the float had not of been on a Sunday with work the next day, and had I not ridden with Cricket I would've pushed the issue much further. But as it was I Nessied out with fear of getting arrested and missing work and being stranded in Newton County. :lol:

I think he was just being a tattle tail (or is it tattle tell? That makes a lot more sense. I think it has just been skewed by Ozarkian accents). But that does remind me, you remember that Andy Griffith episode where Barney gets all power trippy and it ends with Barney making an illegal u turn after giving Goober a ticket for the same thing? Goober chases him down yelling "Citiz'ens ai'rest citiz'ens ai'rest!!!"

I see it as a request by a gentleman accepted by another gentleman. Not a sheriff saying stay away and a citizen doing what the sheriff said.

Please point out the times when Chief has broke a law regarding trespassing as I have failed to see when he did. icket number or docket number from when he appeared in court should suffice if you lack first hand accounts.

The way I see it, the deputy was lying about talking to the agent. I bet he has since talked to one. There was no way of resolving the issue with the landowner on the stream. He had made that very clear. I reviewed the "Your Voice Counts" thread and would like my comment about your lack of caring stricken from the record (by the judge CWF has been talking to?) and will edit my post. I had your comments confused with those from someone else.

To address a few questions/comments that stood out as I browsed this train wreck... It was me doing most of the talking in the video (my handle on here was JDC ((my initials)) prior to my taking on my current handle. The camera was rolling because we had already been harassed once, and I had been threatened previously. Ness, you think I am a smart butt for my actions in conversing with the deputy, I think you have a lack of testicular fortitude for the way you would have presumably handled the situation. Call it even? I "pressed the issue" with the two inches of water comment because the deputy had stated we would be trespassing if we beached our boats on the gravel bar (which we know is contradictory to Missouri law). Before continuing our conversation I wanted to ensure that I wasn't breaking his facetious law. As far as to me asking if the CP was also an MDC agent, I had specifically asked the deputy which agent he spoke to and Prater replied with the Joe Schmo CP remark, so I asked Prater, not the deputy, if the CP was an MDC agent too. SOMETHING, was making Prater feel like a bigger man, you should have seen the way his chest was all puffed up. Again, it was my comment that I knew him from the internet. That was no lie or stretch of any truth. I met him for the very first time at the Lime Kiln access the morning of the float. When we were harassed the first time I had to use my deductive reasoning skills to figure out that Britt was his name even. Also, as a footnote, the "are you going to stay" at the end of the video was directed at a fellow floater, not Prater or the deputies. If anyone else has any more questions or already asked one that I didn't respond to feel free to ask.

The trout taper in 4wt turn over a double nymph rig with two big nasty stonefly patterns and an indicator to my liking. I have not thrown and streamers with my 4wt, but I would have to assume that the trout taper could handle a weighted wooly no problem.

You will be happy with the Pro Series. I love my 4wt. I went with the 8' for use on the more technical streams where you don't always have ample space. Also, FWIW, I just upgraded to the Scientific Anglers Mastery Series Trout line with "Dri Tip Technology" and I love it. It floats nice and high. I use it for nymphs and dries and am more than happy with it's performance.
