  1. I saw a commercial for it. Looks awesome. I wish I had NGC!
  2. Thanks for sharing! Was that a 3 day trip??
  3. Sorry I couldn't make it out guys. I definitely wanted too. How'd everyone do?
  4. Fish looks a little chilly to me
  5. 10 to 1 says Ross gets their aluminum from China.
  6. Spots or not your fish pics were obviously different fish, Tfsh.
  7. This tent is a good brand and seems economical enough, but looks to be a couple pounds to the heavier side of previous recommendations.
  8. Thanks for the quick response. Replied.
  9. Awesome deal, Justin! Is the offer valid today only?
  10. I can't believe no one (myself included)has mentioned Old Crow Medicine Show, always puts me in a good fishing mood.
  11. My chances of making it are turning out to be pretty bleak actually...
  12. I use Vanish in 6 or 8lb for my leader material and am interested in trying the 2lb stuff for tippett (read saving money) but I have not seen it before. I will have to look a little harder for it.
  13. I have had nothing but success with Rio FlouroFlex. I use 5x for everything, even down to 24's. I tired to save some money and go with the White River Fly Shop flouro and broke off a few and seemed to catch less fish so I went back to FlouroFlex.
  14. WOWZA. I'm going to have to go over to the Olliefest thread and delete my post about the points system after seeing the fish you catch Buzz!
  15. And when you break the law you forfeit those rights, no?? I am not for unwarranted "land grabs" by the government, or many of their interventions for that matter, but the issue being discussed isn't an unwarranted land grab, it isn't the feds flexing their muscle, it isn't a conspiracy or anything other than a crack camp being seized - just the same as house X on the corner that was trafficking drugs. Many posts in this thread seem to ignore that fact. Hell, even Dopey's attorney didn't shoot down the allegations of activity involving illicit drugs. The attorney has monetary incentive to ignore that fact. Why do so many posters in this thread ignore it?
  16. I seem to have 'mis-placed' my MO Trout map. My wife promises it wasn't thrown away. So the skinny on the local was greatly appreciated. Thanks. If I can make it I would be all for the points system, however I do reserve the right to whine/complain/say it was a terrible idea if I do not win. I should be able to make it. My son's birthday is the 29th, but I am 99% sure we will have the party on Saturday. I will post and let you all know as soon as I know for sure.
  17. I would like to attend this event. Can you post or pm me the meeting area address, co-ordinates or intersection of closest roads so I can figure fuel costs and time?
  18. If money isn't an issue check out the Able Super reels.
  19. I like the song, but self incriminate much?
  20. Wow! It's nothing short of amazing that the yak was recovered! Glad to see it returned to it's rightful owner.
  21. Thank you 2sheds, it sounds like you are very familiar with the stretch of river. In your estimation what is the length of wadable water that is public? Just wondering if Kelly Ford would be worth the stop or if I should head down to Blair. I don't care about anything being there except for accessable, fishable water so the "nothing remarkable there" comment interests me. It would be nice to see few or no people.
  22. The owner of Water Hikers in Ozark is, or was, wanting to put together a paddlers tournament. Water Hikers joined the forum but I don't know how often they read the threads. Someone that would want to spear head anything in this area might give them a call.
  23. You can tell who the old (or maybe still) hippies are after reading through this thread! Not commenting on whether it is right or wrong what took place at the festivals. or how they were busted either one: What took place at these festivals was more than passing a bong around a campfire and singing kum ba yah and 'Dead classics. There was acid, lsd, shrooms, speed, coke, all kinds of perscription pill cocktails and even meth at most of the gathering. The real hippies always complained about the tweakers. This is all knowledge gained from kids I went to school with that frequented the festivals. I have never been myself but have no reason to not believe the kids that did. I have also seen lots of pictures and it looked like a good time. I would have enjoyed going even though drugs weren't really my thing, but I was always too big of a _____ to go along because I just knew the one time I went would be when they got busted and at that point who would believe I wasn't doping. On another note, the owner is a bold face liar if he says he didn't know what was going on, OR never attended a single festival held at his facilities.
