  10. Some valid points have been brought up in this thread. The previous owners weren't making money obviously and that could be to any combination of those points: Not profitable due to startup costs, mis-managed etc. Also another point brought up was the fact that Rock Bridge is successful. I have dined there before and inquired as to the fishing rates which are $25 for one day of catch and keep plus (I think) $4.62/lb keeping everything you catch or $80 dusk till dawn in the catch and release area, so it could be that Westover was selling their product too cheap as well.
  11. I am sorry to hear that Straw Hat, but I am glad that he was able to find some joy in the postings on here.
  12. I see quite a few of those little guys in those concrete ditches on both sides of Hatchery Rd on my way to fish the trophy area.
  13. Ducky you must really be wanting to hunt them. You read dogs as hogs. I would also be interested in hunting some too though. My AR needs some more rounds down the tube.
  14. Interesting thread. I had a skunk go through my camp a couple months ago at Bennett. That was creepy not having any light except a very small fire and my cell phone until I could tell what it was. Does that count??? Beyond that I have nothing to contribute. I will definitely stay tuned though. I love the adrenaline rush/feeling of being in creepy situations.
  15. I thought you were in Lebanon not Arkansas Pinky????
  16. You leave Natty Lite out of this!

  19. Nice fish! This is the longest day ever, waiting to head that way in the morning.
  20. A huge smallie got bullied from a trout stream to a road in the middle of your town and you ran it over???
  21. It is sometimes beneficial to fish a tandem rig with something large on top as an attractor so the fish will come and check it out, bringing it in close enough to see the small fly.
  22. Just thought I would bump this up as a reminder.
  23. The first time I drifted right in front of me to watch my rig I didn't even think of catching a boot bumper but sure enough, one went for it. My rod hit the water surface so hard and fast it spooked the fish and it took the slack out so quick it didn't come unbuttoned for a few seconds. I immediately looked around to make sure no one had saw as if I had narrowly avoided a slip and fall by flailing my arms about. I was so embarrassed by what others would think and found it comical to myself because I knew my intentions at the same time. Kind of like the time, before I had any casting rhythm, and my back cast still into the water and I foul hooked a stocker on my forward cast. I thought I had snagged a rock at first .
